I came across this really awesome website with a great mission “To raise awareness of diabetes and funding for families in need of diabetic alert service dogs -highly trained to recognize oncoming changes in blood glucose levels of Type 1 diabetics.” Mission D.A.D started humbly in a two parent three child house hold. The father had Type I Diabetes and almost died due to complications.
Mission D.A.D is working toward starting a fund so that they “can provide financial assistance to families experiencing the hardship of diabetes and for whom a D.A.D. would be life-changing”. There are approximately 4-5 million Type 1 Diabetics and only a handful of D.A.D trainers.
Being able to create this visionary service would be quintessential for not only helping to deal with major Diabetic episodes, but also help with those Diabetics that live alone and suffer from depression, by giving the person someone to care for and to help keep them company.
I believe that this organization is one of the better ones that I have seen lately, as it’s grassroots are humble and compassionate, with a simple goal of helping to save lives through K9 companionship.
I am writing this review of this site, because it is something that I believe in and am hoping to spread the word about this cause. This is not a sponsored blog post, and I have received no money for doing so.
Please take a moment to visit Mission-Dad.com and see what part you can play in placing these wonderful dog’s in a needy home.
