So I tried to get some meds refilled and got shot down because the prescribing doctor wouldn’t refill them because I had not been in since November 2011. This is due to the fact that when I was there (Mental Health Department) they told me that I could no longer receive services there due to the fact that I was accepted for Social Security, and they couldn’t bill them.
So I had to drop everything that I was doing to make a mad dash into the office. I get there only to be told that they were running behind and that I was going to have to wait for my appointment…yet they had just told me that I needed to be in before 1pm for an appointment that they had just made me. So 2:15pm rolls around and I get brought back and was then ‘interviewed’ by the prescribing doctor as to why I hadn’t been in to see them in a long time. I rehashed my whole story to her and explained that I hadn’t needed the services much that the medication that I had was working but that I had run out of it. The medication that I was trying to get refilled was Xanax and Klonopin both of which are considered controlled substances.
However, I made the point to point out that if I were abusing said prescriptions that it was funny that I had just now called them in for refills after such a long time. She agreed but still wanted to see me and has now requested that I come back into the office and do another flipping intake evaluation and all the other tests and what have you that I originally did. I said just use my old information, that nothing has changed but my Medicare status and Diabetes medications, but of course not that would be to simple and efficient. So I have to go in on the 1/30/13 for a fun filled 3 hours of testing, questioning, and whatever else they have in mind.
