Parents taught me to save

Guest post of the week by Brittany Booker

My parents have always taught me the value of money and that saving is very important. When I was younger, I found it annoying and didn’t understand why I needed to save. However, I am so grateful for this lesson. I just purchased my first home. I am so lucky to be able to afford a home at such a young age. I would have never been able to purchase it, if it had not been for my parents’ lesson. The house is perfect. It has a wonderful yard and is in a wonderful neighborhood. I was able to move in last week and could not be more excited. My parents insisted I get Augusta ADT SECURITY. They claim they want me to feel my house is being protected, but I think they want to feel I am being protected. It is not a big deal because it is a good idea. I just had to laugh at them because they were trying to pretend it was more for me than them. They are great parents and I am lucky to have them.
